Refund & Cancellation Policy

Current LumicSec operating policy. Mandatory rights under applicable law continue to apply, and any enterprise or jurisdiction-specific commitment must be expressly agreed in writing.

1. Current assisted-billing model

The current paid checkout is an assisted one-month billing flow. A customer initiates each payment, and paid access is activated or changed only after the submitted payment reference is reviewed and approved. LumicSec does not automatically debit or renew the customer in this current flow.

2. Before plan activation

Submitting a payment request does not itself activate a plan. An unverifiable or rejected request receives no paid activation. If the customer believes funds were successfully transferred but activation is rejected or cannot be matched, the customer should provide the payment reference through support so the transaction can be reconciled before a refund or corrected activation decision is made.

3. Duplicate or mismatched payments

Do not pay again while a payment is pending review. A duplicate, mismatched or reused payment reference may be rejected for activation. If a customer believes a duplicate transfer actually settled, LumicSec will review the transaction record and communicate whether the appropriate correction is activation, credit, refund or another legally required remedy; a duplicate reference alone is not proof that two payments settled.

4. Cancellation and non-renewal

Because the current billing flow has no automatic renewal, customers can cancel future paid use by not submitting another renewal payment. Unless support confirms an earlier termination, already activated one-month access normally remains available through its recorded expiry date, subject to these policies and protective suspension rights.

5. Refund requests after activation

There is currently no advertised universal no-questions-asked refund window after paid access has been activated. A refund request may still be submitted and will be assessed against whether payment settled, when access was activated, material service delivery, consumed scan capacity, generated reports, manual/custom work, duplicate-payment evidence and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Running one scan is not described here as automatically deciding every possible refund outcome, but consumed service may reduce or eliminate a discretionary refund.

6. Service activation or material delivery failure

If LumicSec confirms payment but cannot activate the purchased access, or a LumicSec-controlled material failure prevents delivery of the paid service, support will investigate a correction such as activation/restoration, term extension, credit or refund as appropriate to the affected service and any mandatory legal rights. This does not cover a customer's own target outage, WAF configuration, third-party website failure or unsupported use that is outside LumicSec's control.

7. Plan changes and unused time

A customer-requested upgrade, downgrade or switch is processed as a separate plan change in the current assisted-billing flow. Unused time, capacity or plan limits do not automatically create cash credit or a pro-rata refund unless the applicable checkout/written offer expressly states one or applicable law requires it. Historical verified payment entries remain billing records even after a later plan change.

8. Service suspension or discontinuation

Abuse, unauthorized scanning, fraud or security risk may lead to protective suspension. Suspension for a material policy violation does not automatically create a refund right. If LumicSec discontinues a paid service before delivering the purchased term, any remedy will be communicated based on the undelivered service and applicable mandatory rights.

9. How to request billing help

Refund or billing requests should identify the account, plan, payment reference and reason through the LumicSec support/contact workflow. Never send card numbers, CVVs, OTPs, UPI PINs, bank passwords, private keys or session secrets. Bank/payment-provider settlement times may continue after LumicSec has completed any approved refund action.

10. Approved cash-refund initiation timing

When LumicSec approves a cash refund and has the information needed to return the funds, LumicSec targets initiating that refund within 5 business days. The receiving bank, UPI provider or other payment network may take additional time to post or settle the funds after initiation. A mandatory legal deadline or remedy that gives the customer stronger rights overrides this operational target.

LumicSec provides security decision-support information, not a guarantee of complete security or legal compliance. Use the service only with proper authorization.
